Ranked by our combined score (price, uptime, age, refunds, payments, transparency — how we score). Prices checked by hand (₹88 = $1 for comparison). Uptime is the provider's website, checked every 10 minutes. Ahrefs group buys share one account between many users; features can be limited.

Quick answer

The cheapest Ahrefs group buy we can see right now is ₹1,199/mo (about $13.63) at BundledSEO (checked October 2026). The cheapest official way in is Ahrefs Starter at $29 a month, and the first full plan, Lite, is $129 a month (both checked October 2026). A group buy gets you Standard-level data for a fraction of that, but on a login you share with strangers. It runs on a small daily lookup quota and can stop working the day Ahrefs locks the account.

Official Ahrefs price vs group buy

Official prices below were read from ahrefs.com/pricing on 21 October 2026. They are monthly-billing prices in US dollars. Ahrefs says annual billing saves up to 17%. The right-hand column is what you give up when the same plan reaches you through a shared group-buy seat instead of your own account.

Official planPrice (monthly billing)Main limits on the official planWhat you lose with a shared seat
Ahrefs Free$0Data on sites you verify that you ownNothing. Group buys don't sell this, and you can get it yourself.
Starter$29/moEntry-level keyword and competitor lookupsGroup buys rarely offer Starter. They resell the bigger plans.
Lite$129/mo1 user, 1,000 credits per user a month, 2,500 rows per report, 6 months of history, 750 tracked keywordsYour own projects, rank tracking and alerts. A shared Lite would run out of credits within hours, so providers seldom use it.
Standard$249/moUnlimited credits per user, 30,000 rows per report, 2 years of history, 2,000 tracked keywordsUnlimited use. Providers put their own daily quota on top, and exports and Site Audit are usually switched off.
Advanced$449/mo75,000 rows per report, 5 years of history, 5,000 tracked keywordsThe same data, but heavy tools such as Content Explorer, Batch Analysis and Portfolios may be hidden from shared users.
Enterprise$1,499/moAnnual commitment, uncapped API, SSOAPI and MCP access. These are never part of a group buy.

Extra official seats are cheap compared with the plans themselves. On Lite you can add up to 2 users at $40 a month each, on Standard up to 5 at $60, and on Advanced up to 10 at $80 (checked October 2026). For a small team that splits the bill, a paid extra seat is the legitimate version of a "group buy".

How an Ahrefs group buy actually works

A provider pays for one high-tier Ahrefs subscription, usually Standard or Advanced, and resells access to many customers at once. You never get the Ahrefs password. Access reaches you in one of three ways.

  • Browser extension. You install the provider's Chrome extension, log in to the provider's dashboard and click "Ahrefs". The extension loads a session that is already logged in. This is the most common setup, and Google's AI summary for "ahrefs group buy" lists it first.
  • Cloud browser or remote session. Ahrefs opens inside a browser that runs on the provider's server and is streamed to you. It is slower, but nothing is installed on your machine.
  • Proxy dashboard. The provider shows Ahrefs pages through its own domain, with some menus removed.

The part that matters most for Ahrefs is the quota. Even Standard's "unlimited credits" are meant for one person. When dozens of customers run Site Explorer and Keywords Explorer on the same login, the account looks nothing like one user, so providers ration lookups per customer per day to keep usage down. The rationing shows up in their plan names. ToolzBuy sells a "Standard (30 credits/day)" plan, DigitaVision's Ahrefs combo says "25 credits/day", and GroupBuyExpert's listing says "50 reports/day, 500/month" (all as listed on 21 October 2026). One Site Explorer check of a competitor can use several of those lookups once you open the backlinks, organic keywords and top pages tabs. Thirty a day goes faster than it sounds.

Things that are usually blocked on a shared Ahrefs seat:

  • Creating projects, so you get no Site Audit, no Rank Tracker and no alerts for your own site.
  • CSV exports, or exports capped at a few hundred rows.
  • Account settings, billing pages and user management.
  • API and MCP access.
  • Some higher-cost reports (Content Explorer, Batch Analysis), depending on the provider.

Session limits vary. Many providers allow one active device per customer and log out the older session when you sign in somewhere else. Some ask you to use the same IP. When too many customers use the account at once, you may see Ahrefs's own "too many requests" style errors, or the provider may pause access until its quota resets.

Ahrefs also turns up in many providers' bundles instead of as a single tool. SEO Tools Access only sells Ahrefs inside its Professional and Elite bundles, DigitaVision only inside combos, and BundledSEO offers both a standalone and an "Advanced" bundle. If you only need Ahrefs, check whether the bundle price is really buying you anything. The live table above shows the cheapest Ahrefs option at each provider.

Risks of an Ahrefs group buy

These are the plain facts. Weigh them against the saving.

  • It breaks Ahrefs's terms. An Ahrefs subscription is licensed per user, and extra users are sold as paid seats. Reselling one login to dozens of people is not allowed. Ahrefs has even written its own blog post aimed at group-buy shoppers (ahrefs.com/blog/ahrefs-group-buy) that steers them to the $29 Starter plan instead.
  • Accounts get locked and rotated. A shared account is easy to spot: logins from many IPs and countries, and use around the clock. When an account is locked, the provider has to buy or borrow another one. That can mean hours or days of downtime and a change of plan level without warning.
  • No Ahrefs support. You can't contact Ahrefs about a wrong number, a billing problem or a bug. Your only support is the provider's Telegram, WhatsApp or ticket desk.
  • Others can see what you research. Anything Ahrefs stores at account level, such as recent searches, saved lists and projects, can be seen by everyone else on the same login. That means the competitors and client domains you look up may be visible to them, and theirs to you. Don't research confidential client work on a shared seat.
  • Browser extension trust. An extension that can inject login sessions can also read pages you visit. Use a separate browser profile just for the group buy.
  • Refunds are narrow. Most providers refund only within a short window (24–48 hours is typical in our data), and only if the tool doesn't work at all. Being banned or changing your mind usually doesn't count.

None of this means every provider is a scam. Many deliver what they sell for months. But the arrangement is fragile, and the fragility lands on you.

How to choose an Ahrefs group buy provider

Use the columns in the table above as a checklist.

  • Price per month: compare like with like. Toolsurf bills every 28 days, not monthly, so you pay 13 times a year. GroupBuyExpert's Ahrefs listing is the most expensive in our sweep but states a larger daily allowance. Look at the quota as well as the price: a cheap seat with 25 lookups a day is not the same product as one with 50.
  • Watch for conflicting prices. SEOGroupsBuy showed one Ahrefs price on its homepage card and a much lower one on its Ahrefs product page on the same day. A low headline that changes at checkout is a red flag. SEOShope names Ahrefs in its headlines but showed no Ahrefs price at all when we checked.
  • Refund policy. SEO Tools Access states a 7-day money-back period but no refund if the account is banned. ToolzBuy and SEOGroupsBuy state 48 hours. GroupBuySEOTools.org states 24 hours. GroupBuyExpert says no refunds once access is delivered, and BundledSEO says no refunds on a delivered service. For Ahrefs, where bans are the main risk, the wording about bans matters more than the number of days.
  • Payment methods. UPI suits Indian buyers (ToolzBuy, BundledSEO). PayPal gives buyer protection (SEO Tools Access and GroupBuyExpert take PayPal only). Crypto gives you no recourse at all.
  • Trial. Toolsurf offers a free 10-minute trial. That is enough to see whether the Ahrefs session loads, and not enough to learn the quota.
  • Uptime. We have not measured uptime. Any uptime figure on a seller's site is their own claim. Search the provider's name on Reddit or BlackHatWorld before you pay.
  • Who runs it. ToolzBuy and SEOShope use a near-identical site template and identical "savings" numbers, so they are probably the same operator. Spreading your purchases across both does not spread your risk.

Cheaper legal alternatives to an Ahrefs group buy

Before paying a reseller, check whether one of these covers what you need. Prices were checked October 2026. Links go to the vendors' own sites.

  • Ahrefs Starter ($29/mo). This is Ahrefs's own answer to group buys. It covers keyword research and a look at competitors on your own login, and it costs about the same as many group-buy seats. See ahrefs.com/pricing.
  • Ahrefs Free / Ahrefs Webmaster Tools. These give you free Site Audit and backlink data for sites you can verify. If your main use is "what links to my site and what's broken", you may not need a paid plan at all.
  • Ahrefs Lite with an annual plan. Ahrefs states annual billing saves up to 17%. It also does not run coupon codes, so "Ahrefs promo codes" on coupon sites aren't real (see Ahrefs's help article on discounts and trials).
  • Mangools. KWFinder, SERPChecker and LinkMiner in one subscription. Basic is $226.20 a year billed annually, about $18.85 a month (mangools.com, checked October 2026). Its backlink index is smaller than Ahrefs's, but it is enough for small sites.
  • SE Ranking. Core is $129 a month with unlimited keyword, competitor and backlink research and a 14-day free trial, no card required (seranking.com, checked October 2026). It costs about the same as Ahrefs Lite, but it does not ration lookups the way Lite's 1,000 credits do.
  • Semrush free trial. If you need a week of heavy competitor research for one project, Semrush's seven-day trial on your own account is legal and needs no shared login.

FAQ

Is an Ahrefs group buy legit?

The providers are real businesses and many do deliver access. But the arrangement itself is not allowed by Ahrefs. One subscription is resold to many people against Ahrefs's terms, so the access can be cut off at any time and you have no claim against Ahrefs. "Legit" here means "the seller delivers", not "this is permitted".

What is an Ahrefs group buy?

A seller buys one Ahrefs plan, usually Standard or Advanced, and resells access to many customers through a browser extension, a cloud browser or a proxy dashboard. Each customer gets a daily lookup allowance instead of the plan's full limits.

How much does Ahrefs cost per month?

On ahrefs.com/pricing, checked October 2026: Starter $29, Lite $129, Standard $249, Advanced $449 and Enterprise $1,499 a month (Enterprise needs an annual commitment). Annual billing saves up to 17%. Group-buy prices are in the live table at the top of this page.

Does Ahrefs have a free trial or coupon code?

Ahrefs says it does not offer coupon codes or seasonal sales. Codes on coupon sites are not genuine. The free routes are Ahrefs Free (Webmaster Tools) for sites you own, and the cheapest paid route is Starter.

Can I get banned for using an Ahrefs group buy?

Your own Ahrefs account can't be banned, because you are using the provider's account. What happens is that the shared account gets locked and you lose access until the provider replaces it. Whether you get a refund then depends on the provider's policy, and several exclude bans.

Is Ahrefs Standard through a group buy the same as a real Standard plan?

The data is the same, because it is the same Ahrefs index. The limits are not. You get the provider's daily quota (for example "30 credits/day" or "50 reports/day"), usually no projects and no exports, and no API.
