Quick answer
The lowest Semrush group-buy price listed today is ₹199/mo (about $2.26) at ToolzBuy (checked October 2026). Semrush itself starts at $139 a month for its SEO plan, or $117.33 a month if you pay for a year (semrush.com, checked October 2026). There is also a free plan with 10 reports a day and a seven-day trial. The trade-off is simple. A shared Semrush seat gives you the same keyword and domain data, but no projects of your own, a quota you share with strangers, and an account that can disappear without notice.
Official Semrush price vs group buy
Semrush has reorganised its plans. The pricing page (semrush.com/prices, read 21 October 2026) now sells SEO, Starter, Pro+ and Advanced plans, which bundle classic SEO tools with AI-search visibility tracking. Many group-buy sellers still advertise the old names ("Guru", "Business"), so a "Semrush Guru group buy" tells you little about what you will actually see.
| Official plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Main limits | What you lose with a shared seat |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | — | 10 reports a day across tools, 1 demo project | Nothing. It's free and it's yours. |
| SEO | $139 | $117.33 | 5 websites, 500 keywords tracked daily | Your 5 projects: Site Audit, Position Tracking and On Page ideas for your own site. |
| Starter (SEO + AI Search) | $199 | $165.17 | 5 websites, 500 keywords and 50 AI prompts tracked daily | AI-visibility tracking for your brand, which needs a project and a fixed domain. |
| Pro+ (SEO + AI Search) | $299 | $248.17 | 15 websites, 1,500 keywords and 100 prompts tracked daily, historical data, content optimisation | Historical data and content tools are often visible but rationed. Projects and tracking are shared or locked. |
| Advanced | Custom | Custom | 40+ websites, 5,000+ keywords, API, team users | API access and team features are never part of a group buy. |
Semrush states that each plan includes one user, and additional users are charged per user according to the plan level. Toolkits such as Local, Content, Social, AI PR and Traffic & Market are priced separately. Group buys almost never include those add-ons, even when a seller's page uses their names.
How a Semrush group buy actually works
A reseller pays for one Semrush subscription and lets many customers use it through its own front end. Google's AI summary for "semrush group buy" describes three delivery methods, and they match what sellers' pages say:
- Shared cloud dashboard. You log in to the seller's member area and open Semrush in a remote browser or an embedded panel.
- Browser extension with session cookies. You install an extension that loads an already-logged-in Semrush session in your own Chrome.
- Proxy login. Semrush pages are served through the seller's domain with account menus stripped out.
What makes Semrush different from Ahrefs is that so much of its value sits in projects: Site Audit, Position Tracking, On Page SEO Checker, Backlink Audit and the newer AI-visibility tracking all live inside a project tied to a domain. The SEO plan allows 5 of them and Pro+ allows 15. On an account shared by dozens of people, those slots are either locked by the seller or full of other customers' sites. So in practice a Semrush group buy is mostly the research side: Domain Overview, Organic Research, Keyword Magic Tool, Keyword Gap, Backlinks and Traffic Analytics if the plan has it.
Usually blocked or limited:
- Creating or editing projects (Site Audit, Position Tracking, Backlink Audit).
- Exports. Some sellers sell export as an upgrade, for example eBundleTools lists a "Guru (Excel export)" option, which tells you the cheaper tiers don't have it.
- Account, billing and subscription pages.
- Paid add-ons and separate toolkits (Local, Content, .Trends / Traffic & Market).
- The Semrush API.
Device and session limits are common. GroupBuyServices lists its Semrush plan as "2 devices", and others log you out if you sign in from a second browser. DigitaVision sells two kinds of access: a shared Semrush seat and a separate "personal, 7 days" option. If you consider the personal option, ask the seller how that account is created and paid for before you rely on it.
Semrush is the tool sellers bundle most. GroupBuyServices pairs it with Ubersuggest, and SEO Tools Access sells a "SEMrush plan" that also includes Majestic, Moz and Grammarly. Bundles can be good value if you use the other tools, but each extra tool is another shared account that can break.
Risks of a Semrush group buy
- Against Semrush's terms. Semrush prices extra users as paid seats, so one subscription spread across many buyers is not permitted. Google's own summary of the topic notes that most Reddit users agree group buying violates Semrush's terms.
- Locks and swaps. Many logins from different IP addresses on one account are exactly the pattern that gets accounts reviewed. When a seller's account is disabled, you wait while they replace it, and the replacement may be a lower plan with less history.
- Shared quotas. Semrush plans have daily report and results limits. On a shared account everyone draws from the same pool, so heavy users at peak hours can leave you with "limit reached" errors before you start.
- Your research is not private. Projects, keyword lists and recently viewed domains are stored at account level. Other buyers can see which domains you analyse, and you will see theirs. Treat anything you type into a shared Semrush as public.
- No vendor support or guarantee. Semrush's refund policy and support cover only its own customers. If the data looks wrong or the seat stops working, only the seller can help.
- Extension risk. A cookie-loading extension has broad access to your browser. Keep it in a separate Chrome profile with no personal logins.
How to choose a Semrush group buy provider
Semrush is the most widely resold tool in our provider data. Of the sellers we checked on 21 October 2026, only ToolsPe had no Semrush listing, and NoxTools blocked our check. So the choice is wide and the differences are in the details. Use the table's columns:
- Price per month, and the billing period. Toolsurf charges every 28 days, so you pay 13 times a year, not 12. GroupBuyExpert prices its Semrush Business option per week, not per month. Convert before you compare.
- Which Semrush plan sits behind it. Sellers say "Guru" or "Business" but Semrush no longer sells plans under those names. Ask what the account shows: how much history is available, and whether exports or Traffic Analytics are included. If the answer is vague, assume the most basic access.
- Refund policy. The differences are big. ToolzBuy promises a full refund within 48 hours of a first purchase if the tool fails and support can't fix it. SEOShope refunds only if a tool stays down for more than 48 hours after you report it. GroupBuyServices gives no refunds for downtime. eBundleTools is non-refundable once activated and charges 25% to cancel within 24 hours.
- Payment methods. UPI is available at ToolzBuy, SEOShope and BundledSEO. PayPal is accepted by SEO Tools Access (PayPal only), GroupBuyExpert, SupremSEO and others. Paying by PayPal or card keeps a dispute route open, and crypto doesn't.
- Trial. Toolsurf has a 10-minute free trial, and GroupBuyServices sells a 24-hour pass. Use a short trial to confirm the Keyword Magic Tool and Domain Overview load, not to judge reliability.
- Uptime. We have not measured it. Uptime percentages on sellers' homepages are self-reported.
- Red flags we found. SEOGroupsBuy sends signups to a different brand's domain and links to a placeholder Facebook page. ToolzBuy and SEOShope share a template and are probably one operator. GroupBuySEOTools.org resells other group-buy brands' combos.

Cheaper legal alternatives to a Semrush group buy
Prices checked October 2026, from each vendor's own pricing page.
- Semrush Free. 10 reports a day and one project, with no card required. If you only check a few domains or keywords a day, this may be enough on its own.
- Semrush free trial (seven days). Semrush's site offers seven days free, cancel anytime. One focused week of keyword and competitor research on your own account covers many one-off needs, such as a site launch or a client pitch.
- Semrush SEO plan on annual billing. $117.33 a month instead of $139. It gives you 5 real projects with Site Audit and Position Tracking, which no group buy offers.
- SE Ranking. Core is $129 a month with unlimited keyword, competitor and backlink research, 10 projects and a 14-day free trial, no card required (seranking.com). It costs about the same as Semrush's SEO plan but has twice the projects.
- Mangools. Basic is $226.20 a year billed annually, about $18.85 a month (mangools.com). This is a much smaller tool, but its keyword research is enough for bloggers and small sites.
- Ahrefs Starter ($29/mo). If you mainly want competitor keywords, Ahrefs's entry plan on your own login costs about the same as many shared Semrush seats (ahrefs.com/pricing).
FAQ
Is a Semrush group buy legit?
The sellers exist and many deliver working access, but Semrush does not allow one subscription to be resold to many people. You are paying for access that Semrush can end at any moment, with no recourse to Semrush.
How much is Semrush worth per month officially?
From semrush.com (checked October 2026): Free $0, SEO $139 ($117.33 on annual billing), Starter $199 ($165.17), Pro+ $299 ($248.17), and Advanced on a custom quote. Each plan includes one user.
What is a Semrush group buy?
A reseller buys one Semrush plan and shares it with many paying customers through a dashboard, a browser extension or a proxy. Each customer pays a small monthly fee and gets the research tools, usually without projects, exports or the API.
Can several people share one Semrush account legally?
Not by sharing a login. The legal way is to add users to your subscription. Semrush charges additional users per user, at a rate set by your plan, and each person gets their own login.
Why do group buys still sell "Semrush Guru" and "Business"?
Those were Semrush's plan names before its current line-up of SEO, Starter, Pro+ and Advanced. Sellers keep the old names because buyers search for them. Ask the seller exactly which features and limits the shared account has.
Can I use a shared Semrush seat for Site Audit or rank tracking?
Usually not. Both need a project, and projects on a shared account are either locked or already used by other buyers. For your own site, the free plan's project or a trial is the more reliable route.
